1)Total number of books owned?
Fuck. You mean I have to count them? 168 (or thereabouts) of the books in this apartment right now are mine, but there are also a bunch of books I left at home in Alaska. So I probably have at least twice that.

2) The last book I bought?
Cheezus...I don't think I've actually bought a book since last year. I've been frequenting the library here, you see. I think it was some Smoothie recipe book.

3) The last book I read?
Why, something classic and thought-provoking. >_> No, it was no doubt a romance with half-naked people on the cover. Though at the moment I am in the process of reading a couple books on African mythology.

4) 5 books that mean a lot to me?
Mrr...no. The DragonLance books will always have a special place in my heart, because they were the first fantasy books I read. The Boxcar Children and Little House on the Prairie were ones I read over and over again as a kid. Invitation to the Game was a favorite. I have a lot of art books I'm very attached to, and especially the Art of the Lord of the Rings books that Justin gave me for Christmas. There are a lot more. I like my books. If I own it, chances are it means a lot to me.

5) Tag 5 people and have them fill this out on their ljs:
If you want to do it, DOOO EEEET. If not, don't. Simple as that, foo.

Dragonlance rules. Or it did, until it got turned into a Franchise Of Crap (tm). But the first six books were grand. Wonderful story. Fun times. Well, back then, at least. I was a bit younger then. But still. I still have good memories of [livejournal.com profile] angledge and I having Story Hour in our college dorm, reading passages from the books to assembled masses for study breaks.

I still have the original six books from their first printings. Good times...

Tas was funny; he and Flint were definitely the R2D2/C3PO of the Dragonlance universe. I liked whenever Lord Soth showed up. He was the man. Him and Astinus the Librarian. They were side characters, but just so interesting somehow. I don't know- I always like side characters better for some reason.

Dalamar, Raistlin's evil elven apprentice. He was pretty bad-ass too.

"I am Dalamar, and I will MAKE YOU VERY STICKY!"

BWAAAHAHAHAHA!
Of course, he probably said that to Kitiara just before... you know, nudge nudge, wink wink...

Mmmmm... Dragonlance: The Candy. Starring Caramel Majere, Kitkatiara Majere, Mallomar The Dark Elf, Goldmoonpie, and Pezbin The Mage. Coming soon to a candy store near you!

Ooh, books now. Sweet. And I find the idea of counting my books intimidating too Nelli. ;o)
