It's snowing here!

It wouldn't be a big deal; I grew up in a place that routinely has 33 feet or more a winter. But in Mac, snow is apparently something of an anomaly!

I went outside a while ago and it's at least a couple inches thick. Yay snow! It'll probably melt before Christmas, but maybe not!

We might have a white Christmas! Send me snowy thoughts!

We left off, last time, right before Summer was injured. As most of you know, she was injured from jamming a stick down her throat and creating a hole in her soft palate. Afterward, she started vomiting blood (and everything else she'd eaten that day). It was scary, even though she seemed to be staying fairly calm throughout, and was obviously able to breathe.

A couple days later, as we were unsuccessful in our efforts to get her to eat, we took her to another vet to get a feeding tube installed.

As you can see, she was thrilled. Oh, the Thrill of it all! )

And next time I'll show you some pictures of McMinnville itself, as well as the apartment I'm in. I hope you've enjoyed this episode of Picspam by Nelli.

Finally, some pictures! I'll save the pics of the apartment for another time, when I get a chance to take some of the place now that I've gotten a few things into it.

Without further ado, photos of the trip! Let's see how badly I can screw this up!

SO THERE! )

Photos and a couple video clips from my most recent boat trip (the one with the annoying little girl? Yeah, that one.)

Pictures and ice falling off a glacier, oh my! )

I worked for Stan Stephens yesterday, as I sometimes do on my Sundays off. It was the short trip, just the 6.5 hour, but it was a lot of fun. I was a little worried because it was leaving later in the day than usual...not until 2pm. The wind usually picks up in the afternoon and ruffles the water somewhat, so I was a little concerned that we'd get some swells. Nothing too bad, but some people get seasick over nothing at all.

I shouldn't have worried.

It was gorgeous. Overcast, but the cloud cover was high. It didn't rain, and the sun peeked through occasionally. There was nary a bump on the water, and (if you count what we saw in the distance), we ran across at least 8 humpback whales.

I got myself a Youtube account, so here are a couple videos (one of whales and one of sea lions, and some photos as well.

This way for ADVENTURE! EXCITEMENT! MEDIOCRE-QUALITY VIDEOS! )

And here are a few plain ol' photos!

IS THERE NUDITY?? CLICK HERE TO FIND OUT! )

And for those of you who wanted to see the photo of the bear that was on my neighbor's porch the other day, here it is. Much like the puffins, you JUST HAVE TO TRUST ME. )

Okay, yes. Squirrels are annoying because they get into our walls and steal the birdseed out of my mom's birdfeeders. They nibble things they're not supposed to and they make my dog go ballistic. But for all that...

...the baby ones are REALLY cute. )

My camera came today! And so, as promised, a naked picture!

Oooh, the temptation! )
