Hey, people.
My internet crapped out. I've been without since Thursday, and will probably be without for a while longer. Mom left this morning for 2 weeks so I either have to figure something out myself or wait for her to come back.
I spent 2 and a half hours on the phone with our provider on Thursday. Well, actually, probably only about an hour and 45 minutes with them, and then they passed me off to Dell, where I sat on hold the remainder of the time. On Friday, I mentioned the trouble to some ladies at work, and they said that a lot of people in our area are having trouble with their DSL. So I guess mom and I shouldn't have messed with the computer after I gave up on tech support. The thing is, one of the things the tech at our provider told me to do made our IP address disappear, so mom and I went in and typed it in manually later. Maybe we shouldn't have done that.
Anyway, don't expect me to post for a while. If any of my computer-savvy friends has any suggestions, feel free to drop them here...I don't know how often I'll be able to check my email, though. I had to drive all the way into town to use the internet at the library to do this.
*hugs*
