In regards to my firefly entry here, I just had a thought. I mentioned the desire to go stand in the middle of a field full of fireflies. That might be neat.

But then I thought of something. Those fireflies would have to land on something, right? And what better thing to land on (or be caught in) than my arms and legs and hair?



Is this REALLY something I want crawling on me?

Hmm, the fireflies in my area are a bit cuter than that. They're more of a brownish-beige color, with some soft red bits and glowy green-yellow butts. Also, they're pretty small, so it's not so bad when they're on you. And they don't bite, unlike spiders or centipedes.

I'll have to tell Keely that if she wants to live among the adorable fireflies, she'll have to move to New York.
