May. 19th, 2005 12:39 pmWorked this morning from 7:45-11:45 in a first-grade class. Not much to report. A couple of the kids, I learned their names right away. "Joey, be quiet, please. Joey, why are you out of your seat? Joey--no, I don't want to hear it! You shouldn't have been over there anyway. Samuel, you need to sit down. I mean it, Sam."
Most of them were pretty good. There were several unusual names, including a Savannah, a Cheyenne, a Reign, and a River (boy). (Reign and River...*snicker*).
The school was called Dover School, and it's very small, only one classroom per grade. I liked it. The teachers were all very nice.
