My dog has fleas.

No, seriously. My dog has fleas. And I don't have a job.

But I do have liquor! It's really cheap and could peel the paint off walls, but it exists.

Did I mention that my dog has fleas?

In better news, the Check Engine light in the truck turned off.

I figure this means either A) it burnt out, B) the engine is no longer even in the truck, or C) the problem fixed itself. As the truck is still able to run, I feel fairly confident in ruling out B. Of the remaining two options, I prefer C, so C it is.

Also, FLEAS.

Poor lil Summer. I'd tell you to hug her for me, but I'm not that mean ;)

About engine lights, I know mine can turn on for things like badly screwed gas cap, and then stay on until the next system reboot, so hopefully it's just something small and it's all good now!

The check engine light has been on since about the time we got to Oregon at the beginning of the month. Driving home from Thanksgiving, it turned off. I don't really care why, I'm just glad it's gone!

Poor Summer. :(
I know your pain. Our last idiot roommate brought her two cats from Indiana. It took her OVER A MONTH to realize that they had fleas!!!! And it was just a couple days after we started letting our cats back into the basement, although we didn't allow any contact between the cats. A few of the fleas found their way onto our cats. We'd had Gabriel kitty for over 14 years at that point and he'd NEVER had a single flea in his life! yeah, she paid for all the flea meds & the vet visit and all. Grrrr.

Ack! Fleas??? Poor girl! And poor you too, fleas are horrible to deal with. I used to hate going to my grandparent's house in California because my Aunt's cat would always have them. Yuck.

Also, please use the cheap, paint removing liquor to kills fleas. Have I taught you NOTHING!?!? Buy decent booze, you big dope. It makes all the difference!

I used the cheapo liquor to make whiskey sauce for bread pudding. It was good!

I'm getting a washer and dryer for the apartment (I can rent them from my complex manager for $25 a month) and then I'm going to wash everything in the house. Then I'll use some carpet flea powder and vacuum it up. I shampooed Summer and put a flea collar on her, so hopefully that's doing something.
