Dec. 22nd, 2006 07:16 pmIt has been crazy here.
First let me say a quick thank you to everyone who sent me cards this year. I SWEAR I'll get mine sent but there's no way in Heck they'll get to you before Christmas. Before New Year's, though, I promise (unless you live outside the US - I have no idea how long it takes cards to reach that far). I bought envelopes today, so you know I'll get on it.
I have barely been home in the past week, what with taking care of a friend's dog, work (CRAZY WORK) and holiday stuff.
Today, I participated in my first live show at the radio (called Hometown Holiday LIVE). Yvette and I played Christmas music and gave away prizes for people who called in with the correct answer to our trivia questions. From noon to four we were on the air. It was a lot of fun, but exhausting. The night before was our work Christmas party (my boss cooked a prime rib big enough to feed a small country) and we did a "white elephant" gift exchange. I received a "constipation kit," which consists of a roll of toilet paper, a can of prune juice, and a box of bran flakes, as well as a Madonna CD.
Tomorrow night is
getting_weary's Christmas party. I got a bucket of flavored stuff and mixed it with vodka and threw it into the freezer. Because I'm classy like that. It came with a packet of plastic monkeys.
